About The Position

Sentara RMH Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Resource Pool. This position is full-time and will float across multiple units within the hospital. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available with no contract required. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelors Degree - Nursing (Required)
• Registered Nurse
• Previous acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Adhering to the standards of practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation.
• Upholding the standards of professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Utilizing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
• Floating across multiple units within the hospital.
