About The Position
United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to provide in-home care to energy workers. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and provide holistic care in their homes. Nurses work as 1099 independent contractors and coordinate schedules directly with patients according to their plans of care, approved hours, and preferences. The stated pay range is USD $34.00–$38.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
- Be willing to travel to patients’ homes.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold current BLS Certification.
- Be able to pass state and federal background checks.
- Maintain professional liability coverage.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a warm, empathetic approach.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, maintaining patients’ dignity and respect.
- Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plans of care, approved hours, and preferences.
- Monitor and promptly report changes in patients’ symptoms or behavior.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by treating physicians.
- Communicate and coordinate with Case Managers, physicians, and specialists.
- Maintain accurate patient logs in the EMR system.
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members.
- Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
