About The Position
This is a 13-week assignment for a Registered Nurse (RN) position. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on a nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching, and accessing community resources. The position may also involve Charge Nurse duties, which require ACLS certification.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
- BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
- Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).
