About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Tele provides direct clinical patient care. The role is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit-level basis. The nurse supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and is accountable for supporting the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- RN with current applicable state licensure or permit.
- BLS certification required upon hire for all nursing positions.
- ACLS required within 3 months of hire for Med/Surg/Tele RNs.
- CPI required within 3 months of hire.
- PALS required within 3 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for assigned patients using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Develop plans of care for newly admitted patients and modify them as patient conditions or needs change.
- Deliver designated nursing interventions consistent with the stated medical plan of care.
- Perform procedures in the specialty service area.
- Accurately and completely document nursing care and patient-related information in assigned patient records and appropriate forms.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated.
- Support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
