About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care on its CCSD Unit. This specialized intermediate-level unit cares for patients who need close monitoring and advanced nursing support after critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or for complex medical conditions. It bridges intensive care and medical-surgical services and treats patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other high-acuity diagnoses. The role involves patient assessment, nursing interventions, age- and condition-appropriate care, accurate documentation, and interdisciplinary care planning. The position is full-time, night shift, and in-person.

Requirements

• Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and thorough patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provide age- and condition-appropriate nursing care.
• Complete timely and accurate medical-record documentation supporting medical necessity.
• Develop, implement, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
