About The Position
The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs spanning the entire continuum of care. The beautiful 52-acre rural campus is located minutes outside of State College in Central PA. The Meadows provides comprehensive care to children through geriatrics. This Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) position qualifies for a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The RN provides professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization, and Adult Units. The role involves prescribing, coordinating, and delegating nursing care, overseeing unit activities for each shift, and completing nursing assessments to document patient care and progress. The Nurse is also responsible for completing the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and on any patient with a change in suicide risk level. Additionally, the RN facilitates medication administration in accordance with safe practices, including patient education, and responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety. The position also includes attending Treatment Team meetings to aid in the development of patient care plans and overseeing Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License or Temp Permit to Practice
- Genuine interest in Psychiatric Nursing

Responsibilities
