Registered Nurse, RN | Peds/PICU | 0.6 FTE
About The Position
Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time (0.6 FTE) Registered Nurse for our 10 bed Pediatric Unit and 4 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This is your opportunity to provide patient and family centered care in a healing environment while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee region of La Crosse, Wisconsin. The role involves caring for pediatric patients with acute or chronic medical conditions and those requiring ICU level of care, including traumas, diabetic emergencies, trachs, and more. You will work with a multidisciplinary team consisting of highly skilled RNs, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff.
Requirements
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree
- Nursing RN license to work in Wisconsin upon hire
- BLS for health care providers
- 1 year RN experience required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year RN PICU experience preferred
Responsibilities
- 0.6 FTE (48 hours/every 2 weeks)
- 12-hour shifts, Day/Night rotation, every 3rd weekend and holiday
- Care for pediatric patients with acute or chronic medical conditions
- Care for pediatric patients requiring ICU level of care including traumas, diabetic emergencies, trachs and more
- Work with a multidisciplinary team consisting of highly skilled RNs, Hospitalists, Intensivists, Pharmacists, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and other support staff
