About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Acute Rehab department at Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin, TX. The position is part-time and scheduled for days. The nurse will leverage experience in pediatric acute care, provide direct nursing care, manage patient care plans, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Over 1 year of dedicated experience in a high-velocity pediatric acute care hospital setting.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in strict accordance with hospital policies.
Accurately execute both physician and nursing orders.
Implement and manage comprehensive patient care plans.
Closely track, document, and communicate vital shifts in patient condition.
Act as the central point of contact across medical disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care and seamless, safe discharge planning.
