About The Position

The Hanna House 3 unit consists of 20 patient rooms with the ability to flex to 22. This unit sees a lot of CHF, COPD, and minor surgical procedure patients. The team work on the unit promotes a dynamic work environment, where the team members are willing to go the extra mile. At University Hospitals, nurses are our front-line caregivers. Every day, they care for patients of all ages – from newborns to seniors – expertly blending compassion with advanced knowledge, technical skills and professional integrity.

Requirements

1 year of RN experience required
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.
