Requirements

  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.
  • At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
  • Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing treatment, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on resident needs
  • Dispense medications, review records, and check that assigned personnel follow proper procedures
  • Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care
  • Share important changes with supervisors, physicians, and families as needed
  • Follow all safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment
  • Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews
