Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting.
- At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination.
- Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
Nice To Haves
- All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing treatment, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on resident needs
- Dispense medications, review records, and check that assigned personnel follow proper procedures
- Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care
- Share important changes with supervisors, physicians, and families as needed
- Follow all safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment
- Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews
