About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides direct, comprehensive nursing care to patients from admission through discharge. The nurse reviews and documents care provided, care outcomes, and evaluations, and follows professional standards of care. The role requires prioritizing care according to changing patient assessments and needs, and maintaining ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments. The position is full-time, working four 10-hour shifts per week from 6:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m., with required call and weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Kentucky.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Obtain Crisis Prevention certification within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Recent experience in the specialty.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
