About The Position

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions, a staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract in the Operating Room. Tampa General Hospital is a large medical facility in Florida, affiliated with the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. This role offers higher base pay, generous shift differentials, and benefits for purchase. The position is part of a Magnet-designated nursing team and offers flexible scheduling. Opportunities for contract extensions or conversion to full-time/part-time employment may be available. The nurse will work in all pre-op and post-op departments, caring for patients across various surgical disciplines. The role requires independent work under general supervision, following established policies and professional guidelines. Responsibilities include planning and implementing nursing care, documenting assessments, identifying and reporting issues, formulating care plans, and ensuring patient rights. The position also involves upholding the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and quality improvement principles.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specific division being hired into.
  • Deemed competent to work independently.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • 2 years of experience in Critical Care, Level 1 Trauma Center PACU or Level 1 Trauma Center ED required.
  • BLS required.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or if an ASN must have 1+ yr RN hospital experience and enrolled in BSN program, BSN highly preferred.

Responsibilities
