About The Position

Provides patient care in a pediatric office setting. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff, and providers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Current RN License
Knowledge of approved medical abbreviations and correct spelling of the English language.
Ability to work with non-cooperative patients, patients with psychosocial problems and needs, or chronic and acute health problems.
Ability to adapt to various work assignments.
Good customer service skills and exceptional telephone etiquette.
Previous computer experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Communicates with clinical, clerical, and billing departments, providers, patients, and families to ensure continuity of care.
Communicates effectively, both written and verbally, regarding the physical, mental, and emotional status of patients and families.
Accurately completes and maintains medical records and documents.
Performs telephone triage utilizing approved protocols.
Provides general nursing care to patients and demonstrates acceptable time management techniques.
Maintains exam rooms and lab area, including preparing, stocking, and cleaning rooms, and maintaining supplies and equipment for treatment.
Administers and documents medication, vaccines, and treatments.
Maintains skills and knowledge base through reading, training, and other structured in-services.
Attends clinical meetings as scheduled.
Conducts self in accordance with Tribe 513 employee manual.
Maintains strictest confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
Coordinates scheduling of preventative well visits while performing patient rooming duties.
