About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse with a passion for school nursing to join its Bergen County skilled nursing team. The role provides compassionate, reliable, one-on-one care to clients in their homes. Nurses travel to one nearby client home and work a schedule based on their availability. Clients range in age from infants to geriatric patients and have varied diagnoses and acuity levels. Private duty nursing offers traditional 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, hands-on care, and the opportunity to build relationships with clients and observe their milestones.

The nurse follows up on, carries out, and documents doctors’ orders; assesses and monitors clients’ conditions; and records observations, interventions, and evaluations. BAYADA provides paid training in the office, in the home, and online, practice in adult and pediatric simulation labs, around-the-clock clinical support by phone, and electronic charting using Statewise. Scheduling is flexible with no minimums, and full-time, part-time, and per-diem arrangements are available. Compensation is listed as $45.00 per hour for independent work and $30.00 per hour for training/in-service.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by a school transcript or diploma.
• Hold a current nursing license in good standing in the state.
• Have at least 5 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Travel to one nearby client home according to a schedule chosen by the nurse.
