About The Position

Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work at our beautiful free-standing Inpatient Center in Milford, Delaware. The PRN RN functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide hospice services to patients and families. Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality nursing care to Inpatient Center Hospice patients in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy. Delaware Hospice nurses may care for pediatric patients. We offer specialized training and orientation for nurses who wish to be part of the Katybug team. Our Katybug program specializes in helping kids from perinatal to young adult, find relief from pain and symptoms in their own home, while offering families the practical resources and emotional support they need to cope. You will be part of an entire team of highly qualified, caring individuals assists with the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of you and your loved ones.

Requirements

Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Delaware.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
CPR certification required.
Minimum of two years nursing, preferably in hospice or home care.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
Certification in hospice nursing preferred

Responsibilities

Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to provide hospice services to patients and families.
Utilizes the nursing process to provide quality nursing care to Inpatient Center Hospice patients in accordance with Delaware Hospice policy.
Must be able to lift and turn patients as needed in normal course of patient care, following industry standards and guidelines for safety and correct ergonomic practices.
Employees involved in patient care may be exposed to blood, body tissue and fluids regularly and are expected to follow all health care industry safety guidelines indicated in our procedures manual.
