About The Position

Neuro/Medical is a 36-bed Neuro medical and Intermediate Care nursing unit. As a mixed Neuro unit, care is rendered to a variety of intermediate care neuro patients and standard acute neuro patients including but not limited to: Lower to high acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, Patients post 25-hour from thrombolytic treatment, Patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring, Patients with other neurological disorders such as Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome, Myasthenia Gravis, and ALS, Patients with hemodynamic instability needing antiarrhythmic, Chest tube care and management, Epidural/PCA management, Tracheostomy care.

Requirements

Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
Associate's Degree, ADN or Diploma required
At least 1 year of RN experience – Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
Reading, Writing, Reasoning, Talking, Keyboarding
