About The Position

Join Baylor Scott & White - Lake Pointe Rowlett as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! This is a Full-Time Nights position in the Emergency Department, which is a Level 3 trauma center, Chest pain accredited center, and stroke receiving center. The department averages 100 patients per day with around 20-30 EMS ambulances daily. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lake Pointe is a community-based hospital offering a wide range of outpatient services and specialties. The hospital is licensed for 176 beds and holds multiple accreditations including Level III Trauma, Chest Pain Accreditation, Primary Stroke Accreditation, and Maternal and Level III NICU. Nursing is on a journey towards Pathways to Excellence and will seek Magnet designation.

Requirements

Graduation from an Accredited Program.
RN License.
2 Years of recent Emergency Department RN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or obtain with (30) thirty days of hire or transfer.
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or obtain within (18) eighteen months of hire or transfer.
Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or obtain within (18) eighteen months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

Provide care to a patient population including Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric.
Manage patient ratios of 1:4-5 in a 20-bed Emergency Department.
Respond to an average of 100 patients per day and approximately 20-30 EMS ambulances per day.
Contribute to a safe and high-quality care environment.
Participate in shared governance model and unit-based councils.
Engage in a spirit of inquiry and innovation promoting Evidence-based practice, research, and innovations in nursing practice.
Utilize inter-professional collaboration and professional competencies to meet patient needs.
