About The Position

United Energy Workers Healthcare is seeking compassionate PRN Registered Nurses to provide in-home care to energy workers. This role is offered as a 1099 independent contractor position and involves delivering personalized, holistic care in patients’ homes. Nurses build relationships with patients and their families while providing clinical support, education, and emotional support. The role requires travel to patients’ homes and use of a charting device and the company’s EMR system. Pay is $40.00–$45.00 per hour.

Requirements

Valid, active RN license in the state of practice.
Willingness to travel to patients’ homes.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
Malpractice insurance is required.
A charting device is required.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, along with an empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, comprehensive care.
Educate patients and families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed, with dignity and respect.
Coordinate schedules directly with patients in accordance with their plan of care, approved hours, and preferences.
Monitor and promptly report changes in patient symptoms or behavior.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the treating physician.
Communicate and coordinate with Case Managers, collaborating physicians, and specialists.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and logs in the EMR system.
Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families.
Prepare and provide clear clinical notes and charting.
