About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and implementing an individualized plan of care for each patient utilizing the nursing process. This role requires practicing within the scope, standards, policies, values, and mission of the organization. The RN will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes and resources. They will utilize prioritization and critical thinking skills, demonstrating decisive judgment while working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Compliance with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines is essential. The RN will employ evidence-based practices to collaborate with the healthcare team, providing quality outcomes and coordinating patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and support needs. Identifying barriers to effective communication considering psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural factors is also a key responsibility. The role involves assessing patient and family learning needs and providing education suitable to age, culture, condition, and circumstance. The RN will delegate patient care effectively to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires. Practice will be in accordance with professional and ethical standards as per ANA Code of Ethics and the state Nurse Practice Act. The position requires demonstrating caring attitudes and behaviors to foster therapeutic relationships and engaging in patient and family teaching as appropriate. Other duties as assigned will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current and active state Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within ninety (90) days of hire).
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtained within six (6) months of hire).
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or obtained within one (1) year of hire).
  • Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or obtained within one (1) year of hire).
  • Current STABLE certification (or obtained within one (1) year of hire).
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or obtained within one (1) year of hire).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
  • Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.

Nice To Haves

  • General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS
  • Nursing Certifications: STABLE, TNCC, ENPC
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, adhering to departmental, state, and federal standards.
