About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Progressive Care Unit. This unit specializes in Renal Transplant, Urology, Peritoneal Dialysis, Pulmonary HTN, and more. The hospital is highly ranked and recognized for nursing excellence. The Temple Memorial campus is a large specialty care teaching hospital and a Level 1 Trauma Center. The unit itself is a 35-bed monitored hospital unit caring for a diverse patient population including complex urology patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, kidney and pancreas transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis patients, and radioactive implant cases. It is the only unit in the hospital that performs peritoneal dialysis and is equipped with lead-lined rooms for radioactive therapies.
Requirements
- Graduate of RN School of Nursing
- ADN required
- Active RN License
- Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Grad of an Accredited Program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
- 1 Year of Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer

Responsibilities
- Peritoneal Dialysis management
- Epidural
- Continuous Bladder Irrigation
- Nephrostomy and Urostomy care
- Complex urinary catheter insertions and care
- Suprapubic catheter insertion and care
- Ultrasound guided IV insertion
