About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their Level 16 General Medical Unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. St. Mary’s Medical Center is northern Minnesota’s largest hospital with 380 beds and a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 24-hour emergency and critical care. The role involves organizing and providing patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and acting as a team leader by delegating tasks to other nursing personnel. The position also requires contributing to the facility's mission and goals and meeting regulatory requirements.

Requirements

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
Current nursing licensure in Minnesota
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Responsibilities

Organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Acting as a team leader and delegating aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions.
Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and serving the community.
Meeting the requirements of the Joint Commission as applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
