About The Position
Join Mercy's Nationally Recognized Vein Center as a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease. This role is crucial in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting, working closely with physicians and advanced practice providers. Mercy South Vein Center is the first facility in Missouri and Illinois to receive IAC accreditation in venous treatment and management and is the only facility in the St. Louis region with this distinction. The position involves utilizing the nursing process for patient care, maintaining professional accountability, coordinating care with other departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality, all while embodying Mercy's mission, values, and Service Standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Previous outpatient or procedural experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients
- Assist with vein procedures and treatments
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
- Document patient care in the EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team to ensure exceptional patient care
- Support daily clinic operations and patient flow
