About The Position

Madison Medical is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Mequon Urology team. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate, organized, and clinically skilled nurse who enjoys building relationships with patients and working closely with physicians and advanced practice clinicians in an outpatient setting. Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Comfortable working with computers, electronic health records, and data entry.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes and responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, peers, and physicians.
  • Comfortable working independently while also being a collaborative team member.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential patient and organizational information.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a surgical setting or outpatient clinic is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to our patients.
  • Assess patients and determine appropriate plans of care under provider supervision, including telephone triage and assessment.
  • Perform and assist with specialty-specific procedures in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Perform medical acts delegated by physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
  • Supervise and direct delegated nursing activities performed by LPNs and MAs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, physicians, coworkers, and visitors.
  • Assist with physician scheduling and help ensure clinic workflows run smoothly.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Process medication refills safely and efficiently according to established protocols.
  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications, radiology, and outpatient services when needed.
  • Perform laboratory, clerical, and other clinical duties as requested by leadership and providers.
  • Stay current with changes in nursing practice, technology, and EHR processes.
