About The Position

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Unit. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift position.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Current CA RN license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Proficiency in both written and oral English.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• One year of acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care, treatment, counseling, and health education to the hospitalized patient.
• Responsible for planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge.
• Meets and exceeds compliance with core measures.
• Contributes to a reduction in LOS (Length of Stay).
• Actively participates in all aspects of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities.
• Collaborates with all members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public.
• Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC), and other regulatory requirements.
