Registered Nurse ( RN )
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing care at the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital in Port Jefferson. The campus is part of Catholic Health and provides specialized acute inpatient rehabilitation and other clinical services, with a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. The RN assesses and monitors patients, administers medication, documents progress, and manages overall care. The role works with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction and advocates for patients and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or current enrollment in a BSN program.
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Passion for Medical-Surgical Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of acute care nursing (RN) experience preferred; new graduate RNs are welcome and will be considered.
Responsibilities

- Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, registered nurses, and ancillary staff, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
