About The Position

Westhaven, a senior care community managed by Cassia, is hiring Registered Nurses to provide hands-on nursing care to residents. The role includes administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, and supporting individualized care plans in collaboration with the clinical team. The successful candidate is dependable, works well in a team-oriented environment, and is committed to enhancing the lives of older adults.

This is a full-time position with varying hours, including every other weekend and every other holiday. Available shifts are days (6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.), evenings (2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.), and nights (10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.). The role is based at Westhaven in Boone, Iowa, and offers a $5,000 bonus for full-time employees.

Requirements

• Current Iowa RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be part of a team.

• Experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents, families, and staff with courtesy and respect.
• Coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, and monitor their effectiveness and resident response.
• Manage medications, supplies, and equipment, including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Document care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notify the Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident’s condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
