About The Position

The University of Minnesota Medical Center is looking for Registered Nurses to join their growing Hospital Observation unit 1B team. This unit provides outpatient care to adult patients, similar to an ED, serving patients from same-day surgery and transfers from other units, offering a variety of patient care experiences. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s) in accordance with policies, procedures, professional practice guidelines, and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with the healthcare team and delegates responsibilities appropriately.

Requirements

  • MN RN License
  • BLS required
  • AD required

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or higher preferred
  • Certification in related specialty is helpful
  • One year of current medical/surgical RN experience in a hospital setting is desired

Responsibilities

  • Assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).
  • Performing responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
  • Coordinating care with members of the health care team.
  • Delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate.
