About The Position
The RN in the Progressive Care Unit (Clinical Decision Unit) is responsible for receiving admitted patients from the ED, completing the Admission Assessment, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders. This unit focuses on ED decompression and enhanced throughput by caring for patients with a wide range of diagnoses.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry, and Step-Down (PCU) experience
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Positive attitude with teamwork focus
- Potential charge nurse experience or willingness to consider
Responsibilities
- Complete admission assessments and medication reconciliation
- Initiate and follow acute care orders
- Float to other units within skill set as required
