About The Position

Join the Scripps Health team as a Registered Nurse for our Maternal Child Health team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. This full-time position involves a 12-hour night shift schedule, rotating between Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, Postpartum, and newborn patient care. Our registered nurses provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. The RN takes primary responsibility for patient care delivered by the team under their supervision and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements

At least 1-year recent experience within a Post-Partum AND Labor and Delivery department in an Acute Care hospital environment.
Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Current CA RN License
Current BLS from the American Heart Association
Current NRP Certification (AAP Issued 7th or 8th edition)
Current Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification (AWHONN OR NCC).
Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Perform patient assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.
Evaluate patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
Take primary responsibility for patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
