Registered Nurse - Wound Care - Per Diem Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse at Hackensack Meridian Health delivers individualized patient care based on current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care. The role includes communicating with patients and the health care team about patient status, care, and treatment plans; administering medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies; documenting assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations in the point-of-care electronic record; educating patients and families; and coordinating multidisciplinary discharges to support safe transitions and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Current and valid New Jersey nursing license.
- BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association, required within 60 days of hire.
- At least one year of acute care nursing experience.
- BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire a BSN within three years of hire.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong accountability for improving the lives of patients and caregivers.
- Exceptional teamwork focus and dedication to ongoing education.
- Ability and passion to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care.

Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, individualized nursing care in accordance with current evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care.
- Communicate with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health care team members about patient status, care provided, and treatment plans.
- Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
- Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations through ongoing point-of-care electronic documentation.
- Provide patient- and family-centered education to support health, wellness, and disease management.
- Coordinate patient discharges with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
