About The Position
At Johnson Memorial Hospital, the Wound Care Center, located in Enfield, CT, has been in operation since 2012 and is conveniently located on our Enfield campus facilities. We provide each patient with an individual care plan backed by evidence-based clinical pathways that have been developed and refined through 20 years of proven care for over 4 million wounds.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Valid RN License in Connecticut
- Two years of Medical Surgical or Wound Care experience in an inpatient care setting.
- Must be able to function independently in the outpatient Wound Care environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient wounds including surgical wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and skin tears
- Perform wound dressings and debridement using sterile techniques.
- Educate patients and families on wound care practices and infection prevention.
