About The Position

Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse coordinates and provides patient care and is individually responsible and accountable for nursing care. The role involves assessing and prioritizing patient needs, managing time effectively, maintaining close attention to detail, and working independently as well as collaboratively.

Patient-care activities include assessing patients and documenting IV infusions of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies; administering IM and SC injections; accessing central lines and changing dressings; performing therapeutic phlebotomies; educating and triaging patients; and coordinating care through a multidisciplinary approach. The role also includes nursing duties, coordination of patient care, and use of the EMR.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Louisiana.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Three years of nursing experience in a clinic.
• Ability to assess and prioritize patient needs, manage time effectively, and pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work with multiple physicians.

Nice To Haves

• ONS/OCN certification is highly preferred.
• Oncology nursing experience is preferred.
