About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Freestanding Emergency Department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola. The position is full-time, working a mid-shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week on a rotating basis. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care among different disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
