About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to support the Sexual Assault Response Team. This flexi position has rotating shifts, with multiple shifts available. Recruiters can provide information about becoming a Forensic Nurse Examiner, RN. The position's primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, performing rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and providing overall patient care. The role offers opportunities to develop nursing skills across specialties and, if desired, pursue advancement into leadership or higher levels of care.

Requirements

Virginia or Compact Multi-State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
One of the following nursing education credentials: Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Master’s Degree.

Responsibilities

Assess and admit patients.
Perform rounding checks.
Administer medications.
Communicate with family members.
Provide overall care for patients.
Support the Emergency Department's Sexual Assault Response Team.
