About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to support the Sexual Assault Response Team. The role offers an opportunity to ask a recruiter about becoming a Forensic Nurse Examiner. The nurse’s primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, performing rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and providing overall patient care. Requirements

Virginia or compact multi-state nursing license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
RN education through an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, diploma, or master’s degree.

Responsibilities

Assess and admit patients.
Perform rounding checks.
Administer medications.
Communicate with patients’ family members.
Provide overall care for assigned patients.
Support the Emergency Department’s Sexual Assault Response Team.
