About The Position
Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for evening shifts in Chicago. This full-time position involves patient care using the nursing process, maintaining competency, contributing to professional development, integrating ethical practices and evidence-based research, and promoting a safe therapeutic environment. The role also includes guiding and supervising staff, enhancing professional growth, timely documentation, and performing other related duties. The hourly pay range is $36.00 - $55.80, with a new minimum base pay of $37.25 starting in October. Endeavor Health is a large, integrated healthcare system serving over 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties, with a mission to provide quality, community-connected care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS through American Heart Association
- ACLS, PALS, NRP through American Heart Association within 90 days of start
- Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicates effectively and if experienced RN, is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
- Reliable transportation for floating
Nice To Haves
- Prefer at least one year of experience as a staff nurse.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care to patients and their families.
- Maintains competency reflective of current standards practice.
- Interacts and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Integrates ethical provisions in all areas of nursing practice.
- Integrates evidence-based practice and research findings into nursing practice.
- Recognizes and adjusts to situations that vary from the norm.
- Promotes safety measures to prevent patient and staff injuries.
- Guides and supervises staff in the provision of patient care.
- Enhances own professional growth and development.
- Maintains a safe therapeutic working environment and recognizes need for action in emergency situations.
- Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
