About The Position

The Registered Nurse Ortho delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical standards and evidence-based protocols. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and communicates patient condition, and documents progress to support optimal outcomes. The nurse coordinates care across multidisciplinary teams, carries out physician and nursing orders, and collaborates with the healthcare team on discharge planning to support safe patient transitions.

Requirements

• BLS Provider credential obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained before hire or job transfer.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as the primary coordinator across disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
