RN - Surgical Acute - Neuro Ortho Spine - La Jolla - Days
About The Position
This is a full-time, 72-hours-per-pay-period, 12-hour day-shift Registered Nurse position in the Neuro, Ortho, Spine Surgical Acute unit at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The 36-bed unit cares for patients recovering from strokes and brain, spine, hip, and knee surgeries, as well as patients receiving epilepsy monitoring care. The team emphasizes patient-centered care, professional development, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education for patients and families. The RN provides direct patient care within their scope of practice, including assessing patients, planning and implementing care, and evaluating progress toward expected goals. The role coordinates the care team to support positive patient experiences and outcomes, restore function, optimize care, and respect each patient's autonomy and individuality. Eligible candidates may receive up to $7,000 in new-hire incentives, subject to the stated eligibility and retention criteria.
Requirements
- One year of recent RN experience.
- California Registered Nurse license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Nice To Haves
- One year of recent inpatient acute care RN experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Experience with Epic EHR.
Responsibilities
