About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides clinically competent patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN interacts effectively with patients, significant others, and other healthcare team members while maintaining professional nursing standards. The RN evaluates patient outcomes in relation to evidence-based interventions to determine the effectiveness of nursing care. The primary focus is to ensure each patient receives quality care and services through efficient use of resources. The RN works within the scope and standards of nursing defined by the American Nurses Association and the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia. As a healthcare team member, the RN makes decisions and performs services in the patient’s best interest, contributes positively to the patient experience and team success, and places the patient and team above individual needs.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or a compact state.
• Must obtain BLS within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
