Registered Nurse- FT Nights

About The Position

Three Rivers Midlands is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide nursing care at a comprehensive behavioral health facility serving children and adolescents ages 11–18. The facility provides residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH) for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency-related illnesses. This is a night position, with scheduled hours from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Hold a current license and registration as a Registered Nurse from the South Carolina Board of Nurse Examiners.
Possess knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships and processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, and crisis management involving aggressive behaviors.
Hold current BLS certification.
Have thorough familiarity with psychiatric pharmacy and the use of psychotropic medications.

Nice To Haves

A valid South Carolina driver’s license is preferred.
One year of prior child/adolescent psychiatric experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adolescent residents admitted for treatment of psychiatric or emotional disorders.
Actively and constructively serve as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Support the organization’s and program or unit’s philosophy of care.
Ensure the safety and well-being of each resident.
