About The Position

UW Medical Center–Northwest is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for its Childbirth Center, with experience in a Level II Neonatal ICU or higher. The nurse will provide care during labor and delivery and support mother-and-baby care, including breastfeeding and couplet care. The position offers autonomy to practice at the highest level of the nurse’s license.

This is a regular position at 90% FTE, scheduled for night shifts of three 12-hour shifts per week. The Childbirth Center is at UW Medical Center–Northwest, an acute care hospital campus in north Seattle that provides emergency, inpatient, outpatient, medical, surgical, and therapeutic care.

Pay ranges from $46.97 to $86.17 per hour. Additional compensation may include a $1.00-per-hour BSN-or-higher premium, a $1.25-per-hour certification premium, a $5.00-per-hour night shift differential, a $4.00-per-hour weekend shift differential, a $3.00 Sunday night premium, and overtime pay. Requirements

• Two or more years of experience as a Level II NICU nurse or higher.
• Have or obtain a Washington State RN license or MSL.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the labor and delivery process.
• Administer medications, including epidurals.
• Help mothers and babies with the baby’s first breastfeeding.
• Assist with mother-and-baby couplet care.
• Practice at the highest level of the nurse’s license.
