About The Position

Big Tree Medical is hiring a Registered Nurse for primary care in its membership-based healthcare model. The nurse works alongside a dedicated provider to care for a consistent group of patients, with an emphasis on meaningful relationships, patient education, follow-up, empathy, and work-life balance rather than high patient volume or corporate metrics. The role includes assessing patients, administering treatments and medications, monitoring vital signs, triaging messages and calls, maintaining medical records, and assisting with tests and in-office procedures.

Requirements

• ADN or BSN.
• Active Missouri RN license.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable bedside manner.
• Comfort with EMR systems.
• Ability to work as a team player, adapt easily, and value patient advocacy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Spruce or Elation EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, administer treatments and medications, and monitor vital signs.
• Triage patient messages and phone calls through the secure messaging app.
• Educate patients about their health needs and how to manage them at home.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and patients’ families to deliver quality care.
• Maintain accurate charts and medical records while protecting patient confidentiality.
• Assist with diagnostic tests, IVs, blood draws, and in-office procedures.
