About The Position

This is a Full-Time, Day shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient, Acuity Adaptable Unit at Ascension St. Vincent Lucas Family Brain and Spine in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, adapting care plans for patients with complex neurological conditions, monitoring clinical changes for immediate interventions, and guiding discharge planning.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination of multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive seamless, well integrated care tailored to their neurological recovery.
• Assess and adapt personalized care plans continuously to meet the evolving physical and cognitive needs of patients with complex brain and spine conditions.
• Monitor and interpret vital clinical changes to provide immediate interventions that safeguard patient safety and optimize neurological outcomes.
• Guide the discharge planning process alongside families and specialists to ensure a safe transition from hospital to home or rehabilitation.
