About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital Camp Hill is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) PRN to provide inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Registered Nurses provide compassionate, excellent treatment throughout patients’ recovery. The position offers 12-hour shifts, with day or night shifts available, and requires a minimum of four shifts in a six-week period. The hospital provides an extensive orientation program and notes that the role could lead to potential full-time opportunities.

Requirements

• Valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required at hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute hospital or LTAC setting.
• Experience in ICU, Stepdown, PCU, Med/Surg, or Telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment and diagnostic data, including laboratory results and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Demonstrate competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
