About The Position

2 Surgical is a 17-bed Surgical Acute Care floor specializing in Bariatric, Neurological, Orthopedic, and Gender Care patient surgeries. 7 Surgical is a 26-bed General Surgical/Medical floor that cares for general surgery patients, as well as overflow from the 2 Surgical floor. This role provides safe, efficient, age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process to assist them in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status.

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) (Required)
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices) (Required proficiency)
• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) (Preferred)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
