About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Vanderbilt Center for Women's Health. Located in Nashville, Tennessee, VUMC is a community dedicated to advancing health and wellness through patient care, education, and research. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will communicate pertinent patient information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. Professional growth is encouraged through continuous learning. Key responsibilities include collaborating on the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery, and anticipating patient needs. The nurse will analyze patient information to determine nursing diagnoses, continuously evaluate patient progress, and apply interventions for effective outcomes. Strategies to promote health and a safe environment will be employed. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Relevant Work Experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
1 year of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.

Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.
Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
