About The Position

This Registered Nurse position specializes in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at a healthcare facility in Sunrise, Florida. The role involves providing care in a surgical environment focused on cardiovascular procedures. The unit has 23 operating rooms, including 4 CVORs, and 20 CVOR staff members. Day-shift staff include RNs, CSTs, CFAs, and a charge nurse; the night shift is supported by an in-house trauma team and on-call teams. The patient ratio is 1:1. The unit uses Meditech and has one hybrid room.

Typical procedures include coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgery, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and vascular and thoracic procedures. The schedule aligns with full-time staff requirements and may vary each week, including rotating weekends as needed to meet facility needs. Facility-provided scrubs are worn, and unit guidelines and policies are reviewed during orientation. The ideal candidate is friendly, easy-going, hardworking, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of cardiovascular (CV) experience.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, easy-going, and hardworking demeanor.

• Pediatric experience.
