Registered Nurse, Resource Pool - Flexi/PRN
About The Position
Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Resource Pool. This position involves assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, administering medications, communicating with family members, and overall patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork and offers opportunities for career growth in various specialties, leadership, or advanced care levels. The hospital is a 224-bed acute care facility in Hampton, VA, with specialized services in heart and vascular, urologic care, diagnostics, surgery, a hospitalist program, and a busy emergency department. Requirements
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
- RN-Associate’s Degree, or RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Diploma, or RN-Master’s Degree
- 18 months of recent experience in their specialty area i.e. ICU, OR, etc. to be eligible for the Resource Pool.
- The team member must enter at least 24 hours prescheduled time per calendar month in API.
- Of these prescheduled hours, 8 hours scheduled on a weekend shift and 8 hours on an off-shift

- Nurses are required to work assigned shifts in all units in their division of choice.
