About The Position

The Registered Nurse reports to and receives general direction from the Director of Nursing. The role delivers quality nursing care to assigned residents in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and established policies and procedures, supporting each resident’s ability to maintain or attain the highest practical level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The position is offered full-time or part-time, with day or night schedules and 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Able to stand and walk for long periods.
Able to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, and move intermittently throughout the workday and facility.
Able to work outside normal work hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends, as needed to meet facility and position demands.
Must be free of diseases that may be transmitted while performing job responsibilities during the stage of communicability.
Able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.

Nice To Haves

1–5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care Facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Use the nursing process through appropriate assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of residents’ care.
Provide direct patient care using established procedures, policies, and standards.
Develop and implement nursing care plans and assessments.
Perform duties safely in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Record informative and descriptive nursing notes accurately and on time.
Perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
