Registered Nurse Neuro Stepdown
About The Position
We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the Neuro Stepdown unit at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is a full-time position working a 3x12 hour Day shift with rotating weekends. The unit is a high-acuity, 46-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:3-4. Patients on this unit come from the ER or are transferred from the Trauma Neuro ICU and MICU, presenting with a wide range of diagnoses including Trauma Injuries, Craniotomy, Laminectomy, and Discectomy. The Registered Nurse will act as a Clinical Liaison, translating complex medical plans into clear, compassionate language, and will engage in effective team collaboration, including rapid response and initiative participation.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
